This is another corner of my favourite room in the house, Fiona's bedroom.  The corner I showed last week was so well liked that it encouraged me to continue showing little parts of this space that we decorated with such dedication for this little person that we didn't know but already loved with all our hearts.

Este es otro rincon del cuarto que mas me gusta en mi casa, el cuarto de Fiona.  El rincon que mostre la semana pasada gusto tanto que me motivo para seguir mostrando partecitas de este espacio que decoramos con tanto carin~o para esa personita que todavia no conociamos pero que ya amabamos con todo el corazon.

Just hi/Hola

I am in the middle of a little craft project that I will hopefully finish this weekend.  So in the meantime I just wanted to say hi and show these necklaces that I made a while back, just keep in mind that I don't know anything about jewelry making, I just had the urge to have these.  The stones are turquoise, jade, coral {my favourite} and I don't remember the name of the brown one.  Hope you are having a great day.

Estoy en el medio de un proyectito que, con suerte, voy a terminar este fin de semana.  Entonces hoy nada mas queria saludarlos y mostrar estos collares que hice hace un tiempito, sepan que no se nada de joyeria, solamente queria unos collares como estos.  Las piedras son turquesa, jade, coral {mi preferido} y no me acuerdo el nombre de la piedra marron.  Espero que el dia venga cargado de alegria para todos.

Drawing and more/Dibujo y mas

This weekend was a lot about running around but not accomplishing much.  I still love weekends, when the little family is together.
But there are still a couple of things I want to show you.  First, I would like to draw better, so I decided to practice drawing some of my glasses {I have a small collection}, here are three of them.

Este fin de semana se me paso dando vueltas pero sin muchos resultados tangentes.  Pero me encantan los fines de semana, con la familita {me invente una palabra!} junta.

Pero hay un par de cosas que quiero mostrar.  Primero, me gustaria poder dibujar mejor, entonces decidi practicar dibujando algunos de mis anteojos {tengo una pequen~a coleccion}, aca van tres de ellos.

And I should have posted this on Friday for WIP, but we hadn't even thought about doing it till yesterday.  I have to say this is all Dave's idea, I just exposed him to some of 'my' blogs that showed the freezer paper technique and he came up with this.  He decided to make a stencil of Fiona's silhouette.  Here is the photo he used {one of our favourites}.

Y tendria que haber puesto esto el viernes, para WIP, pero todavia ni habiamos pensado en hacerlo hasta ayer.  Tengo que decir que esta idea es de Dave, yo solo le mostre algunos de 'mis' blogs con la tecnica del papel de freezer y el penso en esto.  Decidio hacer un estencil de la silueta de fiona.  Aca va la foto que uso {una de nuestras favoritas}

And here is the beginning of the project.  I used an exacto to cut it as accurately as I could.  We only have white paint, so we'll see.  I'll post when it's ready.

Y aca esta el principio del proyecto.  Use un cuchillo exacto para cortarlo, lo mejor que pude.  Solo tenemos pintura de tela blanca, asique veremos...

Corners of my home/Rincones de mi casa

Here is the baby word Dave and I made for my mother blessing, last September.  We cut some branches from the tree we have in the backyard {sorry tree!} and tied them with a wire wrapped in brown paper, then I added some birds and little flowers.  I can't believe the leaves are still green, we thought they were going to get brown and fall.  But the word still hangs happily in Fiona's room.  And sometimes, when I go to get her up from a nap I find her looking at it, and it melts my heart.

Esta es la palabra 'baby' que Dave y yo hicimos para mi 'mother blessing' {algo asi como 'bendicion para la mama'} en septiembre del an~o pasado.  Cortamos algunas ramas del arbol que tenemos en el jardin {perdon, arbol!} y las atamos con un alambre envuelto en papel marron, despues yo le agregue unos pajaritos y flores.  No puedo creer que las hojas todavia esten verdes, pensamos que se iban a poner marrones y caerse.  Pero la palabrita todavia sigue colgada felizmente el el cuarto de Fiona.  Y, a veces, cuando la voy a buscar al despertarse de una siesta, la encuentro mirando las ramitas, y me derrite el corazon.

New doll/Mun~eca nueva

Here is my latest creation.  I am not very happy about her face, but it was hard to embroider a stuffed head. 

Esta es mi nueva creacion.  No me gusta mucho la cara, pero es dificil bordar cuando la cabeza esta rellena.
