Getting the outfit ready, one of my favourite pieces of clothing is this skirt. The second photo is a detail of the ribbon work. Though it looks grey, it is black.

Preparando la ropa, esta falda es una de mis preferidas.  La segunda foto muestra el detalle del trabajo con cintas.  Parece gris en esa foto, pero es negra.

So many things to be thankful for...it is good to have a day to remember that.

Tantas cosas por las que estar agradecida...es bueno tener por lo menos un dia para recordar eso que es tan importante.

night crafting/manualidades por la noche

I am having fun crafting {hopefully} every night, getting ready for Fiona's second birthday.  I can't believe my little baby girl is turning two.  It is amazing that she was this little when I started the blog.
Next week will be cooking week, and many other preparations I imagine.

Estoy disfrutando de los preparativos para la fiesta de cumplean~os de Fiona.  Todas las noches {si el universo lo permite} esta semana voy a hacer algo con mis manos para el festejo.  No puedo creer que mi chiquita cumpla dos an~os.  Me da mucha ternura ver lo bebita que era cuando empece el blog.
La semana que viene va a ser de preparativos de cocina y otros, me imagino.

thrift report part I

Feeling better this week, though not less busy.  This is a great garage sale time where we live, so almost every Saturday we have been doing that.  Here are some of the things I found, previously owned, currently loved: 

Me siento bastante mejor esta semana, aunque no menos ocupada.  Esta epoca es buenisima para los 'garage sales' aca, asique casi todos los sabados a la man~ana estuvimos recorriendolos.  Aca van algunas de las cosas que encontre, antes usadas, ahora queridas:

I love this but i don't know how to call it.  It would look beautiful in my dream work space.  I also found the fabric, I think I am going to make bags with it.

Me encanta esto, aunque no se como llamarlo, repisa?.  Quedaria lindisimo en el taller de mis suen~os.  Tambien encontre la tela, me parece que voy a hacer bolsos con ella.

 
And these things to me are treasures, I have already imagined so many things I can do with them, but cutting them seems like a painful task.  I love, love hand embroidered things so much!

Y estas cositas, para mi, son tesoros.  Ya me imagine tantas cosas para hacer con ellas, pero no se si me animo a cortarlas.   Como me encantan todas las cosas bordadas a mano!

And this wooden box/tray, also great for holding anything, from supplies to silverware to jewelry...ah, the possibilities! 

Y esta caja de madera, buenisima para poner de todo, materiales para mis manualidades, cubiertos, bijouterie...que lindo tener tantas opciones!

just breathe/respira

Hi, my friends!  It has been a busy week, busy and nerve wrecking.  And...I am trying to become friends with my curly hair again =}. But things are slowing down, I know it.  I am posting this photo because it reminds me to breathe, to come back to the present, don't know why.

Hola!  que semana mas movida!  Movida y estresante.  Y...me estoy tratando de amigar con mis rulos de nuevo=}.  Pero ya esta pasando todo, lo se.   Cuando miro esta foto me acuerdo de respirar, de volver al presente, no se porque.  Por eso la puse.

for my sister/para mi hermana

My sister's birthday is this week, I made her this card, but couldn't send it on time, so it will get to her late.  I am hoping that at least she can see it here.
I am inspired to embroider in all different surfaces lately.

Esta semana es el cumple de mi hermana, le hice esta tarjeta con mucho carin~o, pero no llegue a mandarla con tiempo, asique le va a llegar tarde.  Espero que la pueda ver aca, por lo menos.
Ultimamente tengo ganas de bordar en distintas superficies.
