sorry!  it was too tempting of a pun!  I made these little hangers and now they are in the store.  I think they would be a nice gift for a baby shower, the birth of a new baby or a birthday gift for a little girl.

perdon, pero no puede evitar el 'chiste'!  Hice estas perchitas que ahora estan en el negocio.  Me parece que son un regalo lindo para un bebe recien nacido o el cumplean~os de una nenita.

Spring is around the corner and though it is my favourite season, I know I am going to miss some things from winter.  Here is my list:  the rain {I live in the desert, so we don't see much rain during the very hot summer months}, naked trees, Fiona being two in the winter, laying on the couch covered with a blanket and watching Project Runway, wool socks, the excuse to stay inside, and coats...

La primavera ya llega y, aunque es mi estacion favorita, se que voy a extran~ar cosas del invierno.  Aca va mi lista:  la lluvia {yo vivo en el desierto, donde no llueve mucho durante los meses intensamente calurosos del verano}, los arboles desnudos, que Fionita tenga dos an~os en el invierno, recostarme en el sillon, tapada con una manta, mirando Project Runway, las medias de lana, la excusa para quedarme en casa y los abrigos...

What do you miss from winter?  {for my friends from the southern hemisphere, who have enjoyed summer for a while now, this must be easy to answer}.

Que extran~as del invierno?  {para mis amigas del hemisferio sur que ya vienen disfrutando del verano hace meses, esto debe ser muy facil de contestar}.

I made these little tags.  They are wood, paper and baker's twine.

Hice estas etiquetas.  Son de madera, papel y cinta {que aca usaban los panaderos}, como extran~o las panaderias y las facturas! {perdon, pero me vino una ola de nostalgia argentina}.

And now some inspiration.  I have so many magazine sheets that are too big for the moodboards, I am thinking of posting them here, maybe posting every day for a month...we'll see.  This is from Living Etc. mag., love those colours!

Y ahora un poco de inspiracion. Tengo tantas paginas de revistas que corte y que son muy grandes para los moodboards, estoy pensando en poner una por dia aca por un mes...vamos a ver que pasa.  Esto es de la revista Living Etc., me encantan esos colores!

Thinking of home in all its meanings.  Here is a moodboard to inspire some re-decorating or just to dream.

Ultimamente estoy pensando en que significa 'hogar' {en todas sus acepciones} para mi.  Este es un moodboard para inspirar, ya sea un proyecto de decoracion o, solamente para son~ar.

I played with my little hello kitty sewing machine as you can see here.  The stitches are messy, but that was the way I wanted them.

Use mi maquinita de coser de hello kitty para lograr estas puntadas que no son perfectas para nada, pero asi las queria yo.

I hope today's holiday can remind us to be more loving and tolerant to one another.

Espero que esta fecha {el dia de san valentin} nos haga acordar de ser mas amorosos y tolerantes con los que nos rodean.

Well, in the store now is more accurate.  I had fun taking and styling the photos of the moleskines. 

Bueno, en el negocio deberia decir.  Me encanto perparar y sacar las fotos de los cuadernos que hice.

This one was a prototype, but I am really happy with the way it turned out so I think it deserves to go to the store. 

Este era un prototipo, pero me gusta mucho como quedo, creo que merece estar a la venta.

This one is similar to my sister's card.  I thought it was a good idea to do on a moleskine cover.  I love how the circles look on the back, like a secret.

Este cuaderno es similar a la tarjeta que le hice a mi hermana.  Me parecio una buena idea usar la misma tecnica en la tapa.  Me encantan los circulos en la parte de atras, como un secreto develado.

I went searching for little treasures this weekend.  And I found these:

my favourite thing:  inside the box were these beautiful tin eggs.  all for $3!

I have to thank Dave for keeping a close eye on Fiona during the shopping expedition. And I have to thank Fiona, because she behaved really well, considering she is 2 years old!  I really hope she doesn't hate thrifting when she gets older, because her mother loves it!

Tengo que agradecerle a Dave porque la cuido a Fiona mientras que yo miraba cosas en los negocios y tambien tengo que agradecrle a Fioni, se porto muy bien, sobre todo si se tiene en cuenta que solo tiene dos an~os!  Espero que le siga gustando ir a los negocios de antiguedades, porque a la mama le encanta!

trying/probando

I have been working on a little moleskine prototype for the shop.  and I really like how it turned out.  As you can see, I am still in love with mixing patterns.  These are papers from my collection, some new, some old.  I also used bookbinding tape.

Estuve probando distintas formas de forrar los cuadernos moleskine para el negocio, me gusta como quedo este.  Como ves, todavia me sigue el amor por mezclar distintos estampados y colores.  Los papeles que use para forrar este cuaderno son parte de mi coleccion, algunos nuevos y otros viejitos.
