another week has gone by. we are sick again - all three of us. not fun being sick, especially in the summer. these photos make me feel a bit better.

i was absolutely taken by the styling of these pages from the june martha stewart magazine. and then i realized that the plates were illustrations, sewn ones!
cuando vi estas páginas de la revista martha stewart living, me quedé boquiabierta. como me gusta la manera en que las produjeron! y después me dí cuenta que los platos son ilustraciones, pero ilustraciones completamente bordadas!

the weather has been wonderful here in the desert, the brutal heat that we are used to (well, i never get used to it) hasn't started just yet. but i still crave trees and green. i would love to sit in one of these porches to read for hours.
tengo que admitir que el clima acá en el desierto está muy agradable, todavía no empezó el calor intenso al que estamos acostumbrados (bueno, yo nunca me acostumbro) para estas épocas. pero igual, yo extraño los árboles tupidos y el verde. me encantaría sentarme en uno de estos porches durante horas y leer un libro o meditar.

sorry for disappearing like that, i had a pretty strong cold last week and then it was our seventh anniversary. i can't believe it has been seven years of walking side by side, holding hands most of the way.
