today the weather was like a gift, amazing. so fiona and i went to the park. i started a new book, watched fiona play and then helped her build sand volcanoes. simple and perfect.

a boat with a plastic plate, some play dough, a straw and paper.

fiona drew on muslin, then we chose the fabrics for the back i sew them and fiona helped with the stuffing.
fiona dibujó sobre tela de algodón, después elegimos las telas para la parte de atrás, yo las cosí y fiona ayudó a rellenarlos.

i have been wanting to add more originality to my yoga clothes for a while. i haven't taught in a couple of weeks, i am going back today to teach a pre-natal class (note the irony), i think it is somewhat good to keep my mind distracted with these t-shirts.
hace bastante que quería ponerle un poco de originalidad a la ropa que uso para yoga. hace dos semanas que no enseño, vuelvo hoy a una clase para embarazadas, nótese la ironía de la vida. me parece que me vino bien mantener mi mente ocupada con estas remeras.

i embroidered this tote bag to give to a friend as a gift. but i received the gift: every night i would look forward to sitting on the couch and making little crosses with thread.
bordé este bolso que pienso darle de regalo a una amiga, pero me parece que fui yo la que recibió el regalo: a la noche, cuando todos estaban durmiendo, yo me sentaba en el sillón y hacía crucesitas con hilo, "mi" momento del día que esperaba con ansias.

estoy tan agradecida por tenerlas a ustedes, porque me "escuchan" y porque dejan palabras tan lindas. aunque no lo creas, ayudan y mucho.
well, here i am again. slowly starting to make things again, coming back. for the last couple of months i felt my creativity had left, but now that i think about it maybe i was putting all my energy in this little life that was growing inside of me, preparing myself for what was to come...but it couldn't be. and now, even though my body is still not back to normal, i have been having this strong craving to make things, i embroidered, i cut fabric, i am starting to take photos again...creating always helps.

bueno, aca estoy de nuevo, empezando a hacer cosas nuevamente,aca estoy de vuelta. durante los últimos dos meses me pareció que mi creatividad me había abandonado, pero ahora que lo pienso, tal vez es que estaba poniendo toda mi energía en esa nueva vida que estaba creciendo adentro mio y preparándome para lo que iba a venir...pero no pudo ser y ahora, aunque mi cuerpo todavía no volvió a la "normalidad", siento un deseo irrefrenable de hacer cosas, bordé, corté telas, empecé a sacar fotos de nuevo...hacer siempre ayuda.
vuelvo pronto.
