i found this beautiful fabric a while back and fiona has been asking me to make a pillow for her room ever since, so i did:

i had a doctor's appointment today. i really don't like going to the doctor, but sometimes it is necessary, so here i am, ready to go.
hoy tuve turno con el médico. la verdad es que no me gusta nada ir al médico, pero a veces es necesario, asique acá estoy, lista.
i have always liked to mix styles and textures (formal and informal, hard and soft, worn and new, etc), and this outfit is an example of that, i liked to mix the worn jeans with the velvet jacket.
siempre me gustó mezclar estilos y texturas (formal e informal, rústico y delicado, gastado y nuevo) este 'outfit' es un ejemplo, me gustó combinar el jean gastado y el blazer de terciopelo.

i guess you can say that i am almost wearing vintage, the newest thing i have on are the boots, from 2 or 3 years ago.

i have this friend who is always there for me, especially in the last year. she has been to every fair i participated in, she has listened to me when i needed it and she is so supportive and a true cheerleader when it comes to tiny tree.
tengo una amiga que siempre está ahi cuando la necesito, sobre todo en el último año. ella fué a cada una de las ferias en las que participé, me escuchó cuando lo necesité y me sigue y apoya en todo lo que tiene que ver con tiny tree.
so, for a (very belated) christmas gift, i made her these coasters. i used some of my most favourite vintage fabrics and trimmed them with ric rac.
asique, para navidad (pero bien tarde), le hice estos posa vasos. usé mis telas antiguas preferidas y los adorné con ric rac.
these little guys were a bit tricky to make, but they have a handmade feel that i really like. i hope she does too.
estos cuadraditos me dieron bastante trabajo, pero se nota que son hechos a mano y eso me gusta. espero que a ella también.
she is a big recycler, so i kept that in mind (and it is also one of my new year's resolutions, to want less and to use what i already have)
ella recicla mucho y se preocupa por el medio ambiente, asique lo tuve en cuenta (y también es una de mis resoluciones para este año, consumir menos y usar lo que tengo)
i wrapped it with a page from an argentinean magazine and made a yarn flower and pom poms. ready to go!

just a couple of little things. i got my sharpies and decorated my phone case. yesterday i worked fiona's school and played with perler beads.
solo un par de cositas. usé mis marcadores para decorar la funda de mi teléfono. ayer trabajé en el cole de fiona y jugamos con estas cuentitas.

here are some finished pages of the album i am making for my mum. i just wanted to keep it simple and draw little somethings on each page, so she gets fiona's photos and someting from me too. i used photo corners because she likes to put photos in frames throughout the house. slowly but surely.
aca van algunas páginas que terminé del album de fotos para mi mamá. quise que fuera simple y dibujé (o mejor dicho, mamarraché) algo en cada página, asi ella tiene las fotos de fiona y algo mio también. usé las esquineras de fotos porque a ella le gusta poner fotos en portrarretratos por toda la casa. va lento pero seguro.
now i hope she doesn't read my blog until it's ready.
ahora espero que no lea mi blog hasta que lo termine.
