inspiración pura

hi!  i opened a new blog, inspiracion pura.  here is what i wrote in the first post:

as you may know from my other blog, i love the inspiration that comes from books, magazines, and other people's photos and homes. so here i am, creating a new blog full of it.
the idea started when i posted this photo and it motivated rosario to do this. i absolutely loved what she created! and she agreed to come and play in this blog too!
i sometimes think my interests are too broad: craft, interior design, sewing, fashion, yoga, poetry, etc., maybe this blog will help me understand my own thought process a little bit more.
anyway, this blog will also be billingual and i hope it is a somewhat bridge between the spanish and english speaking worlds of design.

empecé un blog nuevo, inspiración pura, esto es lo que escribí en la primera entrada:

si visitaste alguna vez mi otro blog, sabes que me encanta encontrar inspiración en libros, revistas y en las fotos y casas de otras personas creativas. asique aca estoy, creando un nuevo blog que espero llenar de cosas que me inspiran y, ojalá tambien te inspiren a vos.
todo empezó cuando subí esta foto y rosario la vió e hizo esto. es tan lindo lo que ella creó! y, para completarla, rosario aceptó venir y jugar en este blog de vez en cuando! que bueno!
a veces pienso que las cosas que me interesan son muchas y muy diversas: craft, diseño de interiores, costura, moda, yoga, poesía...y la lista sigue. ojalá que este blog me ayude a entender mi propio proceso creativo.
inspiración pura también va a ser bilingüe y espero que sea un poco como un puente entre el mundo de diseño de habla hispana y el de habla inglesa.

on the wall/en la pared

it is finally up!  i have been thinking about what to do with this wall for a while now.  we painted a few frames {only two made it, as you can see} and filled them with photos and other things.  the idea is for it to be a family 'curated' display that we can change whenever we feel like it.  if i bring some of fiona's artwork from school and we want to display it, there it will go, for example.   what do you think?  what do you have on your walls?  more photos here.

por fin está listo!! me llevó bastante tiempo decidir que poner en esta pared del living.  al final, pintamos varios marcos (pero solo usamos dos, como podés ver) y los llenamos de fotos y otras cosas que nos gustan.  la idea es que esto sea una "muestra curada" por nosotros y que cambie cuando se nos ocurra.  por ejempo: si traigo una pintura de fiona del cole que quiero ver seguido, la pongo.  si despues se nos ocurre otra cosa, se cambia.  qué te parece?  qué te gusta poner en tus paredes?  mas fotos acá.

how i love to make moodboards!  i can never tire of inspiring images {well, sometimes i get a little overwhelmed, but it goes away fast} 

¡cómo me gusta crear moodboards! nunca me canso de ver imágenes que me inspiran {bueno, a veces si siento que la cabeza me va a explotar de imaágenes e ideas, pero se pasa rápido}

flowers in thermos, dresses, old garden chairs, flelds of flowers, the beach {always}, carnivals, yellow beds, old stoves, drawing and painting, elephant necklaces, ingredients laid out on natural parchment paper, acqua lamps, cool sinks and mirrors...

termos que hacen de floreros, vestidos, sillas viejas de jardin, campos llenos de flores, la playa {siempre}, parques de diversiones, camas amarillas, hornos antiguos, pintar y dibujar, collares de elefante, lámparas color verde agua, baños con detalles antiguos...

mirrors, a beach house, candy, a green dress, puppies in costumes, a wonderful headboard for a child's room, yellow dressers, yellow ruffles, embroidery, flats, chairs on a wall, old silverware...

espejos, una casa en la playa, caramelos, un vestido verde oscuro, perritos disfrazados,  una cabecera de cama tan linda para la habitación de un niño, cómodas amarillas, bolados amarillos, bordados, zapatillas, sillas en la pared, cubiertos antiguos...

Decidi entrar una/s imagenes inspiradoras todos los viernes {todavia tengo tantas fotos que quiero compartir!}, si queres, acompan~ame con tus imagenes.  Estas paginas tienen todo que ver con la primavera, las flores y las cosas lindas.

I don't remember where I got the first two pages, the last page is from the latest Martha Stewart Weddings.  It is so full of inspiration that while I was browsing it I started hyperventilating a little.  Does it ever happen to you that when you feel so inspired and start imagining all the things you want to make you feel a little lightheaded?  Or is it just me that is weird?  Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!

No me acuerdo de donde saque las dos primeras paginas, la tercera es de la ultima revista Martha Stewart Weddings.  Esta tan llena de inspiracion que cuando pasaba las paginas y veia las imagenes me empezo a faltar un poco el aire.  Te pasa que cuando te sentis tan inspirada y empezas a imaginar todas las cosas que queres hacer te sentis un poco mareada?  O soy yo un 'poco' rara?
