Hi friends!  Thursday was such a wonderful surprise day, I recieved two packages with beauty inside {and outside, these two ladies know how to wrap gifts!}.  One from Heather, she had a little game going on her blog, I played and she sent me this great bag, so well made.  I love the colours and patterns together!.  Heather is a yoga teacher also and I love visiting her blog, you can feel her love for life and her kindness in every post, she is a very talented sewer too, as you can see.  Thank you so much, Heather!
The other package was from Jen, completely unexpected.  I left her a comment saying that I liked some collages she made and she sent me one, I love it even more in person!.  Jen's blog is another one full of inspiration and I love to visit it.  Thank you so much, Jen!
I know it has been said many times, but I am so happy to have found this blog world. 
Not much crafting going on, but some dreams for laundry bags and a smock for little F.

Hola!  El jueves fue un dia de sorpresas lindisimas.  Recibi dos paquetes que traian belleza adentro {y afuera, estas dos chicas saben como envolver regalos!}.  El primero de Heather, ella organizo un juego en su blog y yo participe y me gane esta bolsita tan linda y tan bien hecha, con unos colores y estampados lindisimos.  Heather es tambien una profesora de yoga y cuando lees su blog, en cada palabra se nota su bondad, tambien es una muy buena costurera, como podes ver.  Gracias Heather!
El otro paquete me lo mando Jen, fue totalmente inesperado.  Le deje un comentario en su blog diciendo que me gustaban unos collages que hizo y me mando uno,  me gusta todavia mas en persona!  Muchas gracias, Jen!
Ya se que se dice todo el tiempo, pero me siento tan afortunada de haber encontrado este pequen~o mundo de los blogs!
La verdad es que no tuve mucho tiempo para las manualidades esta semana, pero suen~o con hacer dos bolsas para poner la ropa para lavar y un delantal para Fionita.

Wonderful gifts/Regalos maravillosos

It was so good to come back home and have a stack of new magazines waiting for me.  But what was even better was to receive mail from other bloggers. 
The super sweet and super talented Marieke sent me this amazing photograph that she took and added some gocco beauty to it.  I cannot even start telling you how much I love it!  She framed it too.  {she has a much better photo of the print on her blog, this one doesn't do it justice}  I am still looking for the perfect spot to showcase it.  She also sent lots of found paper, beads, lace, another wonderful photo, etc.  So much goodness, I love it all!  Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marieke!
And there were the birds ATCs waiting for me also.  How talented are these artists?  Thank you, Kristin for organizing this wonderful exchange.  If you want to see more of the ATCs, there is a flickr pool.
The generosity in this community is truly touching.

Es bueno volver a casa y encontrarme con una pila de revistas nuevas.  Pero todavia mejor es recibir correspondencia de otras bloggers.
La dulce y super talentosa Marieke me mando esta foto divina a la que le agrego los detalles con la maquina gocco.  No puedo expresar todo lo que me encanta!  Me la mando enmarcada y todo. {ella tiene una foto en su blog en la que se ve mucho mejor, en esta no se puede apreciar todo lo linda que es}  Todavia estoy buscando el lugar perfecto en casa para colgarla y que se luzca.  Tambien me mando un monton de papeles, cuentitas, puntillas, etc.  Tantas cosas lindas, me encantan!  Gracas, gracias, gracias, Marieke!!

ATCs

Here are my ATCs, I finished them on Friday and then Dave and Fiona drove them to the post office in a frenzy.  I remembered to scan them at the last possible minute.  It was so much fun making these little cards {2.5 x 3.5}, I was inspired by primitive quilts, those you find at junk shops, those made with fabric scraps from clothes that were too worn, a little torn and very loved. I used some new, some vintage and some japanese fabric. The birds are made with the same paper as that card, from a very old encyclopedia page about ornithology {the study of birds} and I stitched it by hand.  Thank you Kristin for organizing this!  There is a flickr group of these ATCs here.

Aca estan mis ATCs, las termine el viernes y despues Dave y Fiona las llevaron al correo en el auto, pero casi volando.  Por suerte, me acorde a ultimo momento de escanearlas.  Me encanto hacer estas tarjetitas {el taman~o es aproximadamente 6.30cm x 9cm}.  Mi inspiracion fueron esas mantas o 'quilts' primitivas, que se hacian con retazos de ropa que ya no se usaba, un poco rotitas, pero muy queridas. Use telas nuevas, vintage y japonesas.  Los pajaritos estan hechos con el mismo papel de aquella tarjeta, de una enciclopedia viejisima, use la pagina de ornitologia {el estudio de los pajaros} y los borde a mano.  Gracias Kristin por organizar este intercambio tan lindo!  Hay un grupo en Flickr de estas tarjetitas aca.

Thankful/Agradecida

Saturday morning the postman handed me a package with all of this beauty inside.  I was moved to tears as I unwrapped each carefully packaged thing.  Sil was curious about freezer paper {she can't find it where she lives}, so I offered to send her some and she said she would mail some things to me too, I never imagined she would send all these wonderful things:  a beautiful fabric envelope with the most amazing lace and ribbons inside, the lace is made by the Guarani Indians of the Northeast of Argentina, the other ribbon's style is very Argentinean too.  A handmade {by her} notebook, gorgeous.  Great buttons and beads and the most gorgeous doll for Fiona {but I have permission to play with her too}.  Everything is obviously made with such care and love.  I feel so blessed to be part of this blog community that gave me a chance to get to know such wonderful people, like you Sil,  I thank you with all my heart.

El sabado a la man~ana el cartero me entrego un paquete con todas estas cosas maravillosas adentro.  Me emocione tanto al abrir cada uno de los regalitos.  Sil tenia curiosidad acerca del papel de freezer {no lo venden donde ella vive} y yo me ofreci a mandarselo, ella tambien me dijo que me iba a mandar un paquetito con cosas.  Pero nunca me imagine que me iba a mandar todas estas cosas hermosas:  un sobre de tela lindisimo con una puntilla y cintas argentinas adentro, la puntilla divina esta hecha por los indios Guaranies del noreste de Argentina, las otras cintas tambien tienen un estilo muy argentino.  Una libreta hecha a mano {por ella}, barbara.  Unos botones y cuentitas divinos y la mun~eca mas linda para Fiona {aunque yo tambien tengo permiso para jugar con ella}.  Todo se nota que esta hecho con mucho cuidado y con carin~o.  Me siento tan afortunada de poder ser parte de esta comunidad de 'bloggers', que me ha dado la oportunidad de conocer a tanta gente maravillosa, como vos Sil, te agradezco con todo el corazon.
