hi! a little late, but i'm back! here it is, how do i distress denim.
hola! un poquito tarde, pero aca estoy, como hacer que los jeans se vean mas 'vintage'
materials: non-stretch denim pants, blade (like and x-acto knife), sanding paper or block, cardboard, scizzors.
materiales: jeans sin lycra, cuchilla (como un x-acto knife), papel de lijar, cartón, tijera.
step 1: put the cardboard under the area you want to cut to protect the rest of the pants. make little or big cuts (depending on how big you want the area to look distressed). try to make different length cuts, so when it is ready it doesn't look like a perfect square or rectangle. also, don't make the cuts too close together.
paso 1: poné el cartón abajo del area que querés cortar, hacé unos cortes grandes or chiquitos (según el tamaño que quieras que sea el 'agujero'). tratá de que los cortes sean de distinto tamaño, asi no queda como un cuadrado perfecto cuando lo termines. no hagas los cortes muy juntitos tampoco.
use the sandpaper to distress other areas that would be normally distressed in vintage denim, like the belt loops, the cover of the zipper, the back pockets, etc.
usá el papel de lijar para hacer que algunas areas del jean parezcan más gastadas, guiate con jeans vintage, por ejemplo: donde pasás el cinturón, lo que cubre el cierre, los bolsillos de atrás, etc.
throw the shorts in the washer and dryer and voilà!
lavá el jean en el lavarropas y voilà!
