i am very busy preparing for fiona's birthday, but wanted to share some inspiration for my future tiny tree shop:

i created some tags for the fair and to send to family and friends this year (and soon they will be at the store, recently re-opened!)
hice unas tarjetitas para la feria y para mandar a nuestros familiares y amigos estas fiestas (y pronto van a haber algunas en la tienda, que re-abrí ayer!)
i stamped them, then i drew the design and embroidered them with metallic thread.
las estampé, despues dibujé el diseño que quería bordar y las bordé con hilo metálico.
i love to mix the stamps and the embroidery on paper. do you remember the other ones i made a long time ago?
me encanta mezclar los sellos con el bordado en papel. te acordás las otras que hice hace mucho?
i think they would look pretty on a gift or even hanging from the tree.
me parece que quedarían lindas como detalle en un regalo o hasta como decoración del árbol de navidad.

let me tell you a secret: i dream of having a little store one day, where you can come and get some tea and pastries and it is full of handmade things, some evenings we would have acoustic, intimate concerts, others we would have talks and classes. i would have a space in the back to create. i dream of decorating the little store and displaying all the beautiful handmade things. there would be old furniture re-painted and brought to new life. none of the chairs would match. every table would have a little succulent plant on it...
te cuento un secreto: sueño con tener mi propio negocio algún día, un espacio no muy grande donde se pueda tomar un té y comer cosas ricas y que esté lleno de cosas hechas a mano. algunos dias tendríamos conciertos íntimos y acústicos, otros charlas y clases. atrás del negocio yo tendría un espacio para crear. sueño con decorarlo y acomodar todas las cosas lindísimas hechas a mano. en el negocio todos los muebles son de segunda mano, los pintaría y les daría una nueva vida. ninguna de las sillas son iguales y cada mesa tendría su propia plantita...
that's why i love setting up for the fairs i do, for a few hours i have my own little store. this one was this last saturday, i was lucky to be in the sun.
es por eso que me encanta preparar mi espacio en cada feria que hago, es como si tuviera mi propio negocito por unas horas. estas fotos son del sábado, tuve suerte y me tocó estar en el sol.
i found this metal rack on that little trip we took for my birthday and i love it.
a esta estantería de metal la encontré cuando hicimos este viajecito para mi cumpleaños. me encanta.

i still have a few things to do before going to bed, but i think i made it in time! here are some of the things i will have in the booth tomorrow.

i made this one with vintage fabric i found at the rose bowl flea in california and pom pom trim. this was hard to sew! so bumpy, but i love how it looks!
esta tela es vintage, la encontré cuando fuimos a california la última vez, le agregué una cinta de pompones alrededor. que difícil coser esta tela! pero me encanta como quedó.
this fabric is so happy! i did ric rac trim on this one. they look cute together, no? back to work!

i don't know if i will be able to make all the things i planned before the fair. need more than 24 hours in a day! (but i am trying to be gentle with myself)

i am preparing for a craft fair and made more than 60 bows. i guess i got a little carried away (these are just some of them). they are hair pins and brooches.
me estoy preparando para una feria y ya hice como 60 moños. me parece que me entusiasmé demasiado, no?. son hebillitas y prendedores.

i finished one of my yo-yo projects. a tiny quilt (or doily) for my friend. I still have to finish a table runner for my mum, but i think that will have to be done when i get there. these yo-yo's are so labor intesive, but i love how they all look together.
terminé uno de mis proyectos con los yo-yos, una pequeña 'quilt' (o carpetita, por que no?) para mi amiga. todavía tengo que terminar un camino para mi mamá, pero creo que eso va a pasar en argentina. estos yo-yos llevan mucho tiempo y esfuerzo, pero me encantan como quedan todos juntitos.
